Manpreet Badal visited Bathinda city; asks officials to speed up developmental works

Finance Minister of Punjab Manpreet Badal asked the concerned officials of different government departments to speed up the developmental work initiated by the Punjab Government. He took first hand information about different works initiated in the past and started the new ones.

He visited the Water Works in the Industrial Growth Center where he ordered to start the process of de-silting of water reservoirs. He said that around 20 percent pure drinking water is being supplied to the different city areas from this water works and there should be no paucity of water this summer. The minister said that the work would be completed at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs. He ordered the concerned officials to speed up the work of the de-silting so that pure drinking water can be supplied to the areas falling under this water works.

After Industrial Growth Center, the Finance Minister paid visit at a blood donation camp where he appreciated the work of donating blood to the needy people. He offered all possible help for holding such blood camps and stated that such initiatives helps the people in need of blood.

Manpreet Badal also visited Adarsh School in Canal Colony wherein he announced that the top priority of Punjab Government is to provide excellent education facilities to its children besides providing the medical facilities. He announced a grant of Rs 40 lakh for the school and said that every possible help would be offered to upgrade the infrastructure of schools across Bathinda city.

Finance Minister also paid visit at the government school in Sanguana Basti wherein he announced a grant of Rs 20 lakh for this school. In his speech, the Finance Minister said that children are the future of this country and their government would make every effort to provide better education for the children studying in government schools.

The FM also visited the office of Zila Parishad office where he met with the public and resolved their issues on the spot. He also visited Arya Girls School, presided over a meeting of private school association members. The FM also visited the Gun Training Range on Goniana Road, NFL School, SSD School, Malwa Heritage, Dunes Club.

Among others who were present during the Finance Minister’s visit were Urban Congress president Arun Wadhawan and others.
