Mata Gujri College organized a special ceremony to honour SGPC President Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal on its premises.
Director Principal of Mata Gujri College Dr. Kashmir Singh welcomed the newly elected SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal and congratulated him for being elected of the prestigious Sikh organization. He expressed hope that he will take educational institutions on the new heights. Along with the whole staff he assured President that they will fully cooperate with him to enhance quality of education of this respectable academic institution. He also greeted best wishes to the president.
Expressing his views with staff members and students, President Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal said “He is feeling very proud and honoured being in this institute which is named on Mata Gujri ji. He will fully cooperate to enrich this institute academically so that this institute could set an example for other institutions.” He also encouraged the teachers and students to adopt moral values and religious philosophy along with the academic education.
Dean academics Prof. Bikramjit Singh Sandhu conducted stage very efficiently and highlighted the activities and achievements of the college.
Ranjit Singh Libra, additional secretary of the College Managing Committee presented the vote of thanks. On this occasion, Avtar Singh, Secretary, SGPC, Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Vice Principal Academics, Prof. Harveen Kaur, vice principal, administration, staff members and students were present.
