Mata Gujri College organizes Annual convocation

Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib organized an annual convocation under the able guidance of Jagdeep Singh Cheema, Additional Secretary of the College Governing Body, in which Harjinder Singh Dhami, President Advocate, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Amritsar arrived as the Chief Guest. During this convocation, 450 students who passed in the 2016-2017 session were awarded degrees and 37 meritorious students were awarded gold medals.
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami while congratulating the graduating students said that it is a matter of great pride for the students to get an education from this college named after Mata Gujri ji. He specially congratulated the college on getting ‘A’ grade for the third time in a row by NAAC and encouraged the students to respect their Punjabi mother tongue and parents.
Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh welcomed the President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Harjinder Singh Dhami on his arrival at the College.
On this occasion Dr. Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Education, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, while looking at various aspects of the modern education system, said that it is our moral responsibility to provide quality education to the students in the competitive age so that they become good citizens in the society.
Jagdeep Singh Cheema, Additional Secretary, Governing Body of the College, while presenting the vote of thanks, said that Mata Gujri College is committed to the development of the students in all respects while meeting the present educational needs.

On this occasion, Dr. Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Education, Shiromani Committee, Ajmer Singh Khera and Avtar Singh Riya, Members of Shiromani Committee, Amardeep Singh Dharni, Advocate, Sher Singh, Former President, Sirhind Municipal Committee, Dr. Bikramjit Singh Sandhu, Controller Examinations Dr. Harjit Singh, Dean Academic Dr. Kamalpreet Kaur, Dr. Tejinder Singh, Dr. Jagpal Singh, Dr. Sourav Gupta, all the teachers and students were present.
