Mata Gujri College wins the Overall Championship trophy in Regional Youth Festival

Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib won the overall championship trophy in the regional youth festival of Ropar Fatehgarh Sahib Zone organised by Punjabi University Patiala. In 31 different events organized in this three-day festival, Mata Gujri College won the overall trophy in fine arts, theatre, folk dance and literary activities.
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami congratulated the Director Principal of the college, staff and students for this wonderful achievement and said that it is a matter of pride that Mata Gujri College won this trophy by beating 67 colleges of Ropar Fatehgarh Sahib zone. Additional Secretary of College Governing Body S. Jagdeep Singh Cheema expressed his happiness and said that the students studying in Mata Gujri College have made remarkable achievements in academics, sports and cultural activities. SGPC’s Education Secretary Er. Sukhminder Singh congratulated the staff and said that the students of the college have brightened the name of the college.
Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh stated that this great achievement has been achieved due to the able leadership of the SGPC President Jathedar Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami; Additional Secretary of the College Governing Body Jagdeep Singh Cheema, Management Committee of the college, the tireless efforts of the conveners of different committees, staff and students.
Vice Principal Dr. Bikramjit Singh said that Mata Gujri College is constantly making great achievements in the academic field as well as co-educational and cultural activities. Dean of College Cultural Affairs Dr. Harminder Singh said that by participating in these youth festivals, the students get to know about the creative talent hidden within them which develop their overall personality.
