Mata Gujri Journalism students visit Punjab Assembly

The students of Journalism and mass Communication Department of Mata Gujri College visited the Punjab Assembly, Chandigarh along with their teachers to get the first hand information about the working of the assembly.

Disclosing this here today, Dr. Kashmir Singh Director Principal of college said that it was a different experience for the students to see the house in action. The students came to know that how the various bills are proposed and passed in the assembly representing the people of Punjab. Students were also explained regarding the unique construction and architecture of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, he added.

Prof. Reena Kaur Dhillon, Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication said that it was a unique experience for the students. She said that the syllabus designed by the department includes regional, national and international General Knowledge and Current Affairs. To impart first hand information, department often organizes such visits for the students, she added.

Prof. Gurparvesh Singh and Prof. Kriti Talwar guided the students during this visit.
