Meeting of Academic Council held at GNDU
Guru Nanak Dev University will start four year new course in Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) from this academic session 2018-19. This decision has been taken in the meeting of Academic Council of the University. This meeting was held here today in the Senate Hall of the University.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu presided over the meeting. Registrar Prof. Karanjit Singh Kahlon Presented the Agenda. Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Kamaljeet Singh presented vote of thanks. A large number of members of Academic Council were present.
In the meeting its was decided that courses in B.A, B.A Journalism and Mass communication, B.A. in Library and Information Science, M.A. in Punjabi, M.A. in English, M.A. Hindi, M.A. Education, M.A. Public Adminstration, M.A. Economics, M.A. Histroy, M.A. Political Science, M.A. Sociology, M.A. Music, M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication, M.A. Psychology, B.Com, M.Com, MBA, BBA, BCA, MCA, B.Sc(I.T), M.Sc(I.T), M.Sc Computer Science and need based P.G. Diplomas and Certificate Courses will be started through directorate of open and distance learning in constituent Colleges and Regional Campuses of the University from this Academic Session.
To bring the uniformity in various courses of the University, instruction for paper setter has also been approved in the meeting. Approval to new courses in the colleges, Changes in Syllabi has also been discussed in the meeting. Equivalency to various courses has also been approved in the academic council meeting.Vice-Chancellor also inform the members about the latest developments of the University in various field.
