Memo to Harchand Singh Barsat for appointment of Chairman and staff of general category commission

The General Category Welfare Federation (PSPCL/PSTCL) delegation led by President Kuljeet Singh Rattol submitted a memorandum to Harchand Singh Barsat General secretary Aam Aadmi Party for the appointment of Chairman and Staff of Punjab General category Commission.
The other members of the delegation were Hargurmeet Singh Lubana, Kanchan Kumar, Ashok Chopra, Parminder Singh, Rajiv Kumar and Krishan Rana.
Kuljeet Singh Rattol said that the commission was established by the previous government for solving the problems of general categories and listening to their grievances. The present government has not appointed chairman and other necessary staff during the last three years. Due to this there is no one to hear the grievances of the general category.
H C Barsat listened to the grievances of the general category patiently and assured that their memorandum will be forwarded to the chief minister Punjab for further action.
The delegation members said that the present government has not yet issued any advertisement for the post of chairman Punjab General Category Commission. The commission was set up after the Social Justice cell issued notification on December 29,2021.The chairman of commission resigned later to fight assembly elections.
V K Gupta spokesperson said that the political parties in Punjab seem to look aloof to the problems of general category. The federation has already submitted various memorandums on this demand to the chief minister through ministers and various party leaders.
