Mobile, tobacco, cigarette, ear phone , data cable etc recovered from a jail in Patiala district

Within a days after chief minister announcement that state prison, police department has launched a major crackdown against nexus of gangsters and criminals operating from jails, assistant jail superintendent, New jail Nabha has lodged a complaint with Sadar Police Station, Nabha about the recovery of mobile phones and other items from the jail.
As per the FIR No 104 dated May 15,2022 lodged at Sadar police station, Nabha, New jail authorities at Nabha, has seized 9 mobiles of different companies , 43 tobacco pouches, 7 cigarette cases, an ear phone, 2 chargers , 4 data cables , 5 heater spring , 55 capsules , 40 small white coloured psychotropic tablets and 36 large psychotropic tablets from the backside of barrack number 9 &10.
A case under section 22 (contravention in relation to psychotropic substances),61(Confiscation of goods used for concealing illicit drugs or substances) 85 (any goods used for concealing any 1[narcotic drug, psychotropic substance or controlled substance] which is liable to confiscation under NDPS Act) NDPS act , 42 (Penalty for introduction or removal of prohibited articles into or from prison and communication with prisoners) 52-A (If any prisoner is guilty of any offence against prison-discipline Prison act has been lodged against some unknown persons.
Bhagwant Mann had earlier announced that responsibility of the officers and staff of jails who were involved in sneaking these mobiles in the jail will also be fixed.This is the first major recovery after the announcement.
