Modern School Celebrates Woman’s Day in a Unique Way
Modern Senior Secondary School, Patiala celebrated the International woman’s day in their school auditorium today. Keeping women empowerment and gender equality in mind, a two hour session was planned for the teachers in the morning.
The program started with a small welcome note by the Principal of the school, Tripatjit Kaur and was followed by some fun-filled activities for the teachers. She emphasized on the importance of gender equality and how it is necessary to empower women and ultimately the nation. According to Tripatjit Kaur, their school pays a lot of attention on moral values by making it a part of their curriculum.
Modern school salutes the never-say-die spirit of women and boasts of an all women team on their management level. The Principal, Vice-principal, Director, Vice-Chairman and even their Public Relations officer are all women, thus creating a very loving and emphatic environment in the school.
Sukhbir Inder Gill, Director of their Nursery School said that this day is a symbol of respect, appreciation, love and care towards women. Spreading the knowledge and awareness of women empowerment amongst girl students motivates them to do better in life. Small children are imparted moral values through story telling sessions to make them more interesting.
Charu Garg, PRO to the school said, ‘Exam time can be a very stressful time for students as well as the teachers. The teachers have been working tirelessly since the last few days and this was a welcome change for them. Such interactive sessions not only boost the morale of the teachers but create a very happy atmosphere for all. We as women should identify our strengths and abilities, and move towards a world of empowerment.
