Modi seeks votes for turncoat leaders at an election rally in Patiala attended by around 25K voters

For the first time Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is contesting on all 13 parliamentary constituencies of Punjab and today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Patiala to address its first election rally in Punjab.

Modi, reached the election rally venue wearing turban with Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar. At the stage BJP party candidates from Patiala-Preneet Kaur, Sangrur-Arvind Khanna, Bathinda- Parampal Kaur Sidhu, Faridkot-Hans Raj Hans and Fatehgarh Sahib-Gejja Ram jointly honoured PM Modi.

Around 25000 people from Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Sangrur, Bathinda lok sabha constituencies came to hear their favourite speaker PM Narendra Modi.

Modi seeks votes for four turncoat leaders, who had left their parties and joined the saffron party. Out of these Preneet Kaur, who is a sitting member parliament from Patiala from congress had joined the BJP few weeks ago and is now contesting Patiala lok sabha seat on BJP ticket. Similarly, Gejja Ram, a close confident of former chief minister of Punjab Capt Amarinder singh had also joined BJP after leaving congress. Gejja Ram Valmiki is now BJP party candidate from Fatehgarh sahib.

Another turncoat leader, for whom PM Modi seekes vote, is Arvind Khanna, who after working for congress and shiromani akali dal had joined the saffron party and is now contesting Sangrur lok sabha seat on BJP’s ticket.

Parampal Kaur Sidhu, retired IAS belonged to shiromani akali dal leader’s family. She along with her husband, a shiromani akali dal leader had joined BJP and left the panthic party. The saffron party has now fielded her from Bathinda and in today’s rally PM Modi asked the voters of Bathinda parliamentary constituency to vote for her.

Hans Raj Hans who is saffron party’s candidate from Faridkot is a sitting BJP member parliament from North-West Delhi. But before that he remained associated with shiromani akali dal.

Modi seeks votes for turncoat leaders at an election rally in Patiala attended by around 25K voters.As per BJP’s spokesperson thousands of other supporters can’t reach the venue due to tight security and roads blocked by the farmers at all entry points of Patiala.

In conclusion, PM Modi expressed his confidence in the voters of Punjab to enable the BJP to emerge victorious in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
