A group of allottees of 309 plots scheme Nabha Road Patiala met Brahm Mohindra Health minister Punjab and who represents this constituency Patiala-II as well.

The group was led by Dr. Prabhleen Singh, President PUDA Enclave-I Welfare Society. Members submitted a joint representation on their grievances and highlighted the unprofessional and unethical practices adopted by PUDA while allotting and offering possession of the plots the successful allottees. It is pertinent to mention here that the development work at the site in question is grossly incomplete and PUDA has offered possession to the allottees vide a public notice published in leading newspapers on November 16, 2017.

However, the allottees complained that there is no power connection at the site, old HT/LT lines cross over the residential plot and are yet to be dismantled, and large number of trees are standing in plots and there is no gate for entering the site. When concerned officials from the service provider (PSPCL) were contacted by the plot owners, it was revealed that electrification of the site may take at least six months from now.

Furthermore, there are two disputed religious structures standing right in middle of the site. These structures are spread over several plots and are also blocking the roads. Allottees also claim that PUDA has never revealed about the existence of such structures in any of their advertisements/ information brochure.

Plot owners complain that though PUDA has offered possession of the plots while the development works are still pending and site is completely un-inhabitable. Allottees also raised the issue of disparity in levying the interest on balance 75% amount by PUDA on two sets of allottees for the plots offered at the same site and at same price.

Brahm Mohindra assured the allottees that he will raise the issue of PUDA Enclave-I with the concerned PUDA officials and get the justice done. He further conveyed to the allottees that if need be then he will bring this issue to the notice of Chief Minister.
