Moti bagh loyalist Kishan Chand Budhu appointed as  Punsup Vice Chairman

Punjab government has appointed senior congress leader from Patiala Kishan Chand Budhu as vice chairman of Punjab state civil supplies corporation limited (PUNSUP) .He replaces Davinder Singh Jattpuri of Hoshiarpur.

Earlier on January, 7, 2020 Punjab govt had appointed Davinder Singh Jattpuri from Hoshiarpur as  vice chairman of Punjab state civil supplies  corporation limited (PUNSUP). But after three days the government withdraw its order and appointed senior congress leader from Patiala Kishan chand Budhu as vice chairman of Punjab state civil supplies corporation limited (PUNSUP) in a dramatic way.

As per the orders issued by KAP Sinha (IAS), Principal secy Punjab food supplies department, the terms and condition of Kishan Chand Budhu appointment will be disclosed later on, after the police verification. The police will verify his character and track record. If police reports any adverse remarks, than his appointment will be reconsidered.

Krishan Chand Budhu , a depot holder was accused of supplying the kerosene to other Halwai shops and Dhaba owners at a higher rate, meant for ration card holders. A FIR No.176 dated 14.4.2009, on accusation of having committed the offences punishable under section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act (hereinafter to be referred as “the EC Act”) and section 420 IPC by the police of Police Station Kotwali Patiala was registered against him. But later the court discharged him, in 2012.

Kishan Chand Budhu, who belongs to an Aggarwal family, is a five-time councilor from Patiala and is close to Preneet Kaur and Capt Amrinder Singh’s advisor BIS Chahal. He remained in the race of Mayor Municipal Corporation Patiala in 2017. But Sanjeev Sharma Bittu succeeded and became Patiala’s Mayor in 2017 as he is also a confidant of Preneet Kaur and is amongst most active councillors of the party.
