Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU), Bathinda and National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (NITUK), Srinagar Garhwal (Uttarakhand) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore strengths in research and education in one or more disciplines of Science, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences and their mutual interest in engaging themselves in academic cooperation.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the MRS-PTU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu and Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Kawaljit Singh Sandhu and from NITUK, Director, Prof. (Dr.) Lalit Kumar Awathi, Dean Consultancy and Research Dr. Hariharan Muthusamy in the presence of dignitaries at the VC Conference room on Tuesday. Central University of Punjab (CUP), Vice Chancellor, Dr. R. P. Tiwari, MRS-PTU Registrar Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar and senior Deans and Directors of the University were also present on this occasion.
The MoU aimed to promote Academic and Research collaboration in the areas of mutual interest, collaborative research projects, joint supervision of Ph.D students, joint workshops, conferences and seminars, etc. Besides exchange of students and faculty; exchange of academic information, scholarly information, materials and publications.
Giving details, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar said pursuant to the agreement for academic exchange, MRSPTU and NITUK will exchange B.Tech, M.Tech students, research scholars (Ph.D. Students) and faculty according to the terms of MoU.
