MRSPTU constituent college PIT Nandgarh students pledges for Green Diwali

NSS Unit of PIT Nandgarh organised a college level Green and clean  Diwali fair at Punjab Institute of Technology, Nandgarh a Constituent college of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University(MRSPTU), Bathinda. Dr. Balwinder Singh Sidhu Director PIT Nandgarh extended a very warm welcome to main speaker and Chief Guest Swaran Singh, SP vigilance, Bathinda.  Guests of honour Dr. Buta Singh, Dean Planning & Development, MRSPTU, Bathinda and Er. Harpal Singh, S.D.O. Public health Sri Muktsar Sahib, were also received hefty welcome from all staff members & students of PIT.

A very good practical oriented & stress management speech was delivered by Swaran Singh, SP vigilance, Bathinda very attractively. Students of under graduation and post-graduation as well as staff interacted with the chief guest of the day. Swaran Singh explained the various stages of life and shared practical experiences to become successful personality. He focused on the importance of time management, health management as well as environment issues. He said that students can work more effectively with the support of their parents to eliminate social evil of burning of pralli (rice husk) to control environment pollution from our society.  PIT Nandgarh Hosted its Green Diwali fair 2019 by NSS Unit of PIT Nandgarh to make aware students of the all batches of BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons.), M.Com, MBA and Skill certificate courses.

All the senior staff including academic in-charge Harmandeep Kaur and all heads of department of PIT Nandgarh,  took oath and extended a very warm welcome to inculcate pollution free &  environment friendly Diwali 2019 . The competitive events of students like classroom decorations, best out of waste were held in presence of the Dr. Buta Singh as a Chief Guest. Students of PIT Nandgarh actively participated in the green Diwali events of decorations of their respective class rooms by leaves of trees.

The events further entered into a joyous state by best of waste for judging winner batches.  The following Batches won the titles, M.com 1st position, BBA 2nd and BCA remain 3rd position in class room decorations.  In others B.com 3rd semester won best out of waste competition and BCA first Sem, & BCA 5th sem bagged 2nd & 3rd prize respectively.

Dr Buta Singh introduced the students about the various activities leading to green & clean Diwali and stressed to differentiate between what action is right and what is wrong exposures. He also highlighted that pollution is mainly responsible various types of chronic diseases and sickness in society. He appealed especially to the youngsters to help the rural society people about green Diwali as future of tomorrow.

Dr. Balwinder Singh added that PIT Nandgarh is a one of the constitute Institute of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda and growing swiftly under the able guidance of Prof (Dr.) Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, a renowned academician and  Vice Chancellor of MRSPTU, Bathinda. Prof (Dr.) Balwinder Singh enlightened in detail the future plans of university for the upliftment of rural area students and he lectured that there is no shortcut of success other than hard work to achieve their aims. 

MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Mohan Paul Singh Ishar appreciated the efforts of team and wished all the students for future prospects. In the end, Coordinator NSS UNIT of institute Manpreet Kaur Dhaliwal presented a vote of thanks to all Guests for sparing his valuable time.
