MRSPTU VC releases book on “UGC NET/JRF/SET Computer Science & Applications”

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU), Vice Chancellor Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Buta Singh Sidhu on Wednesday released a book titled “UGC NET/JRF/SET Computer Science & Applications (Paper-II)” at a simple ceremony held at VC conference room at Campus.

The book titled “UGC NET/JRF/SET Computer Science & Applications (Paper-II)” has been published under the authorship of Dr. Munish Jindal (MCA, M.E., Ph.D., UGC-NET) from Department of Computational Sciences (MRSPTU), Dr. Veenu Mangat AND Dr. Krishan Saluja, Both from University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Dr. M. K. Jindal, Panjab University Regional Centre, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Dr. Vishal Goyal, Punjabi University, Patiala and Dr. Harmandeep Kaur, Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology, Bathinda.

MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu, GZSCCET Campus Director, Dr. Savina Bansal, University Registrar, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar and Dean, Planning and Development, Dr. Nachhatar Singh Sidhu congratulated the authors and appreciated their efforts to provide such a useful knowledgeable book. Deans/directors and senior faculty attended the book release ceremony.

MRSPTU VC releases book on “UGC NET/JRF/SET Computer Science & Applications”. This book has been published by D.P.S. Publishing House New Delhi in order to prepare the candidates for qualifying the UGC-NET Exam in the subject of Computer Science and Applications. The National Eligibility Test or UGC-NET is a test conducted to determine the eligibility for college and university level lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to Indian nationals.

Giving details, Dr. Munish Jindal said the book would be useful for qualifying the UGC-NET Exam in the subject of Computer Science and Applications and provide them requisite information and insight on each and every topic related to Computer Science and Applications syllabus. This book covers Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) according to the new updated syllabus of UGC NET in Computer Science and Applications. The book covers 10 units corresponding to different subjects of Computer Science and Applications.

The answers to the MCQs are listed at the end of each chapter. The hints and solutions of the questions have also been discussed in order to give an idea about the procedure to solve a particular problem. The book also covers solutions of the NET-July and NET-December question papers from 2015 onwards in order to have an idea of the paper pattern. In spite of cracking the NET test, this book is also useful for other competitive tests that require graduation or/and post-graduation in the Computer Science/Computer Applications field.

Dr. Munish Jindal informed that the book will prove beneficial for students to crack the Ph.D. entrance test to Indian universities, GATE, etc. This book will also be proved fruitful to students currently pursuing graduation or/and post graduations in the Computer Science/Computer Applications field because of the units provided in the book.
