MRSPTU’s 29 B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Students Selected for stipend based Internships

In a significant achievement for Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, 29 students from the 2nd year and 3rd year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering program at Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering & Technology have successfully secured stipend based internship opportunities with Allena Auto Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Rama Steel Forge.
The selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000 from Allena Auto Industries Pvt. Ltd., while Rama Steel Forge will offer a stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month.
Allena Auto Industries Pvt. Ltd. is a reputed name in the automotive manufacturing sector, providing valuable exposure to industry practices.
Congratulating the students on their achievement, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Campus Director Prof. Sarbjeet Kaur Bath, and Director (Training & Placement) Er. Harjot Singh Sidhu expressed pride in this accomplishment. They emphasized that such opportunities reflect the university’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry. They further highlighted that stipend based internships not only provide financial support but also enhance students’ practical exposure and employability.
Er. Harjot Singh Sidhu, stated, “The selected students from the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering discipline will undergo hands-on training and gain valuable insights into modern industrial practices, manufacturing processes, and organizational workflows.”
Dr. Amit Bhatia, Associate Dean Academics, Prof. Naveen Singla HoD, Mechanical Engineering and Dr. Haramritpal Sidhu, Assistant Training & Placement Officer noted that the university continues to strengthen its industry collaborations to ensure students receive practical learning experiences and are well-prepared to meet evolving industry demands.
The officials appreciated the pivotal role played by Dr. Haramritpal Sidhu, ATPO in coordinating the placement drives successfully.
