National Commission for Minorities Chairman Lalpura expresses gratitude to PM Modi for renewal of Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor Agreement

The Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, Iqbal Singh Lalpura, has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the renewal of the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor agreement. Notably, India and Pakistan have renewed the agreement for the next five years.
Iqbal Singh Lalpura said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a significant gift to the Sikh community by renewing the agreement before the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Kartarpur Sahib is a vital religious site for Sikhs, and this renewal will facilitate the Sikh community in visiting their holy place. We are deeply grateful to Prime Minister Modi for this step. He has always respected the Sikh community and understood their religious sentiments.”
He mentioned, “The agreement on the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor has been renewed for another five years.”
It is noteworthy that under the agreement signed between India and Pakistan on October 24, 2019, pilgrims from India have been facilitated to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, Narowal in Pakistan through the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor.
Iqbal Singh Lalpura described this step by Prime Minister Modi as a symbol of his deep reverence and respect for the Sikh community.
