National Conference on “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” held at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus

Bahadurjeet Singh/royalpatiala.in News/Rupnagar,March 14 2026                        The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences – IET Bhaddal Technical Campus successfully organized a two-day National Conference on the theme “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.”

On 12th & 13th March, 2026. The conference was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Preet Kawal Kaur, Principal Pharmacy and Dr. Taranjeet Kaur, Dean Research.

The inaugural ceremony of the conference was graced by Dr. Anil Kumar, Chairman and Professor, UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he shared his views on digital transformation in the field of pharmacy and emphasized the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in clinical practice.

On this occasion, Prof. V.K. Kapoor, Former Dean and Chairman, UIPS, and Dr. Simranjit Singh, Associate Professor, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh attended as Guests of Honour.

During the conference, renowned experts including Dr. BPS Parmar, Medical Director, Parmar Hospital, Ropar, Dr. Amita Sarwal, Associate Professor, UIPS, Dr. Sahil Kumar, Assistant Professor, DIPSAR, Delhi and Dr. Rishemjit Kaur, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR, Chandigarh, delivered insightful talks on topics such as machine learning, drug discovery and healthcare data analytics.

On the second day of the conference, Dr. Geeta Aggarwal, Professor, Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University, Ritika Mahajan, Manager, IIT Ropar TBIF and Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, Thapar University, participated as keynote speakers and highlighted the role of AI and emerging technologies in the healthcare sector. Scientific competitions were also organized during the conference.

Anjali Thakur from Indus International University won the Best Oral Presentation Award, while Ananta and Arsh from CGC Landran received the Best Poster Award. On this occasion, Chairman of the institution, Tejinder Singh, stated in his address that such national-level conferences help enhance the technical and academic knowledge of students and provide them with opportunities to learn about new research and emerging technologies.

Director Campus Dr. S.S. Bindra appreciated the efforts of the Principal and the entire staff for successfully organizing the conference. Scholars, faculty members, research scholars and students from various universities and colleges across the country participated in this two-day national conference and presented their research papers, engaging in detailed discussions on the subject.
