Seminar on international academic collaborations organized at Guru Nanak Dev University

Manjit Singh Nijjar, alumnus of the Guru Nanak Dev University and former Vice-President of Alumni Association of the University gave a seminar on the international academic collaborations and alliances with industry and multinational companies for joint degree and research programmes. A large number of students, faculty and others were presents on this occasion.
The Dean of Alumni, Prof. Atul Khanna warmly welcomed the speaker Nijjar, the faculty and students.
Manjit Singh Nijjar said that industry placements and employment opportunities are the most important concerns for our next generation of students and encouraged the students and faculty to carry out applied and goal oriented research. While sharing the experiences of his student life, he said that this is always joyful to be the part of the University as whatever he is today is only because of this University. He also appreciated the congenial atmosphere of the University and green clean campus. He replied to the quires of students on this occasion.
Manjit Singh Nijjar is a member of High Powered Investment Committee and Senior Honorary NRI Coordinator of Punjab government. He is working on socio-economic development in Punjab/India and other developing countries. He is involved with International alliances and collaborations and is actively promoting universities’ linkage to industry for raising the level of academic excellence and much needed job creation.
