New Corona cases, deaths due to Covid 19 reported today in Patiala district

As per civil surgeon Patiala, today, 68 new cases were reported in Patiala district. Yesterday 57 cases were reported in Patiala district. Today cured patients were discharged from covid care centres, hospitals in Patiala district and now total cured patients touched 613 mark. Active cases in Patiala go up to 585 with todays new cases.
Out of these 68 cases, 23 reported from Patiala, 13 from Rajpura, 2 from Nabha, 3 Samana, 5 from village Dhamoli and rest from different villages of Patiala district. Of these, 1 NRI, 3 inter state travelers, 30 new cases of flu and those without flu symptom and rest found in contact tracing.
Three from Ghumman Nagar, Patiala, two each from Tripuri Town Military Cantt, Maharaja Enclave, Ranjit Nagar, Gurbakhsh Colony, Anand Nagar, Jai Jawan Colony, Shera Wala Gate, Badungar, Guru Nanak Nagar, Urban Estate Phase 2, Khalsa Nagar. One Covid positive case has been reported from Adarsh Colony, Urban Estate Phase I, Suigaran Mohalla, Arya Samaj, Baba Sri Chand Nagar and New Yadavindra Colony.
Three from Gurunanak Nagar of Rajpura, two from Rajpara, one from Nalas Roo, Durga Temple, Chuhan Colony, Balmiki Colony, Arya Samaj Temple, Janakpuri Muhla, one each from Banwar and Purana Rajpura, one from Agarsain Colony of Samana and one from Malkana Patti. One, two from Gobind Nagar, Naba, one from Sardar Colony, five from village Dhamoli (Rajpura) and 22 positive cases have been reported from different villages. Among them were a pregnant woman, a policeman and a health care worker. And further contact tracing is ongoing.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Malhotra said that a 43-year-old employee of Maharaja Enclave working in PWD, Patiala, who was a corona positive, died while undergoing treatment at Rajindra Hospital yesterday.A 45-year-old resident of Rajpura, who had been admitted to Rajindra Hospital for the last two to three days due to liver disease, also tested positive for Kovid and died at Rajindra Hospital today. With this the death toll of covid positive cases in the district has gone up to 19.
