New twist in Punjab politics; Punjab elections going to be five cornered contest

Today 22 kisan unions of Punjab has announced a “Sankyukt Samaj Morcha” and decided to contest on all 117 assembly seats.
In a press conference at Chandigrah, 22 kisan unions out of 32 kisan unions of Punjab join hands and announced to contest Punjab elections, on public demand.
“Balbir Singh Rajewal will be their face and 3 more kisan unions are joining their morcha in coming days” said kisan leader kadiya.
Rajewal said we named it a sanyukt Samaj Morcha” as it’s a secular party.
This announcement has created furor in the political arena, politicians of Punjab. Now, it will be a five cornered contest as Congress, AAP, SAD-BSP, BJP has already in the race.
Three farm bodies including BKU (Dakounda) and BKU (Lakhowal) will decide shortly whether to join the party, said sources.
