Shiromani Akali Dal Patiala candidate NK Sharma today released his ‘Vision document’ for solving all the problems of people of Patiala parliamentary constituency including Ghaggar river and all round development of it.

Addressing a press conference here today at Patiala Media Club along with urban President Amarinder Bajaj and Jaspal Singh Bittu Chattha, SAD candidate said that he has toured every and every part of constituency in last 40 days during which he has identified problems being faced by people in different Assembly constituency.

He said that apart from his plans to development Patiala as model constituency, he will ensure that issue of Ghaggar is resolved by acquiring land at market rate along with the river to wide its banks and its banks will be made with concrete instead of prevailing situation. He said that he will also ensure that water in the river is not polluted. He said that check dams will also be constructed to check flow of additional water.

He mainly included issues related to state government. After becoming MP he has limited say in the state level issues. He said

*He will built 100 bedded multi-specialty hospitals, drug de-addiction centres,  skill centres, at each sub divisions of the parliamentary constituency.

*release of pay commission arrears of Punjab govt employees, restoration of old pension scheme, regularization of contractual employees

*compensation at market rates whose land was acquired for Northern bypass in Patiala district

*Big hospital like AIIMS will be built in Patiala

*Lord Ram’s ancestral village Gharam will be made a tourist hub

* Railway track will be built at Samana and Shutrana

* Restoration, renovation of Govt Hospital, Shutrana

*permanent solution of seasonal rivulet Ghaggar and Tangri

* More government colleges will be opened in the area

* Permanent solution of solid waste management plant in Patiala

*permanent solution of parking problem in the royal city by acquiring more land and make multi storey parking

*roads will be made through MPLAD funds

*Four laning of Patiala-Sirhind road

* Lalru will be developed as industrial hub

* Special award will be given to youngsters through “ 4 Waje daur lao, 5 lac inam pao”

* He added that he will hold monthly meeting with DCs to solve the problems, to seek ‘action taken report’ on all development works

He also said that he will ensure that 300  farmers of 24 villages whose land has been acquired for northern bypass get compensation as per prevailing market rates. He said that he will also ensure that service lanes are constructed with all expressways being in the constituency.

Speaking about issues of government employees, SAD leader said that SAD will ensure that government employees get Pay Commission, their last arrears, all contractual employees will be regularised and old pension scheme will be implemented for them. He said that SAD always all promises made to people.

Responding to a query of media, NK Sharma said that he had given time of 48 hours to Preneet Kaur, Dr. Balbir Singh and Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi to respond to 5 questions each but they have not replied till now.

He said that now he was giving them another chance of 48 hours and if they fail to give answers he will place facts before people about performance of these candidates.
