No relief for Bikram Singh Majithia in Multi-crore Drug Racket case

Shiromani Akali Dal nightmare to continue as its top leader Bikram Singh Majithia will remain in jail, as the Mohali District Court rejected the former Punjab Cabinet Minister’s bail plea in the case at hand.
Majithia, who was lodged in the Patiala jail, was produced in the Mohali court as his judicial remand ended on Tuesday.
His lawyers appealed for bail, citing the election results being declared, but the court rejected the appeal and remanded Majithia in judicial custody till March 22.
The SAD leader surrendered on February 24 before the Court and admitted to an illegal drug racket worth crores of Rupees.
