Nov 6: nationwide dharna by joint forum of trade unions and associations in PSGICs to press for their genuine demands

A Clarion Call from joint forum of trade unions (JFTU) has been given for a Half-Day Dharna and Lunch Hour Demonstration on November 6, 2024, across the Country.
Trilok Singh, Convener, JFTU, NZ said “regarding our previous communication from JFTU NZ, we hope you’re making every effort to ensure the success of the half-day dharna and lunch hour demonstration before Head Offices, Regional Offices (RO), and major centers of the PSGICs, on November 6th, to meet our legitimate demands as mentioned below.
1) Wage revision at par with LIC,w.e.f August 2022.
2) Implement contribution up to 14%NPS , till the Pension scheme of 1995 is implemented.
3) Increase in family pension up to 30% as in Bank and LIC.
4) Adequate recruitment in all cadres.
5) Strengthening of PSGICs.
“We appeal to all the constituents to issue necessary information to their members to encourage maximum participation and mobilization from employees, officers, Pensioners and the ex employees” added Trilok Singh.
In Delhi, the Dharna will be held at Oriental Insurance Company (OIC) HO, NBCC Building, Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi.
“We are confident that all the JFTU constituents in the Northern Zone will take this seriously and make it a grand success. We further appeal to issue press release and submit memorandums in coordination with the JFTU constituents” added Trilok Singh.
