NPL undertakes road safety cum COVID awareness drive- Athar Shahab

The Nabha Power Limited (NPL) which owns and operates 2×700 MW Rajpura Thermal Power Plant organised a mass road safety cum COVID-19 awareness drive in and around Banur town in Patiala district.
The drive was held in collaboration with the city and traffic police Banur, during which a team of NPL volunteers distributed road safety material along with masks amongst a large number of commuters. A total of 4000 commuters were reached out by the volunteers, who besides distributing the safety material also made a strong appeal to them to follow the COVID guidelines.
Chief Executive Officer of Nabha Power Limited, Athar Shahab, said, “The drive has been conducted as a part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. Besides, encouraging safe road practices, NPL is also making efforts to help people during the COVID-19 crisis by distributing masks and other material to guard against the disease.”
NPL undertakes road safety cum COVID awareness drive- Athar Shahab. He said, “NPL has planned to hold more such drives, as part of which, plant volunteers will gather at Gurdwara Shri Dukhniwaran Sahib in Patiala on November 30 to undertake the drive.”
