The Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala, is elated to celebrate the exceptional achievements of its alumni, Nitu and Sweety Bohra (Boxing), and Anu Rani (Javelin Throw), who have been honored with the prestigious Arjuna Award this year.

These remarkable athletes honed their skills and received world-class training at NSNIS Patiala, which played a pivotal role in shaping their journey to success. Their extraordinary accomplishments have brought immense pride and joy to the entire NIS family.

On this joyous occasion, Executive Director Vineet Kumar expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the awardees. He stated, “The achievements of Nitu, Sweety Bohra, and Anu Rani are a testament to their hard work, determination, and the excellence of training provided at NSNIS Patiala. The Arjuna Award, announced today by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS), is one of India’s prestigious honors in sports, recognizing athletes for their outstanding performance and dedication.
