NSS Camp inaugurated at Mata Sahib Kaur College
N.S.S. camp of Mata Sahib Kaur Khalsa Girls College of Education ,Dhamomajra, Patiala was inaugurated by Dr.Jatinder Singh Sidhu (Director Education, S.G.P.C) on 2-2-2018.
The Guest Of Honour on this ocassion was Surinder Kaur( Assistant Commissioner, Grievances, Patiala). Mata Sahib Kaur Khalsa Girls College of Education Principal, Dr. Harmeet Kaur Anand while welcoming the Chief Guest and other Guests said that these camps prepare the students for social service and bridge the gap between the society & educational institutions. She further added that these camps prepare the youth for selfless social service and play an important role in the progress of the nation.
She specially added that girls should made their identity in society to improve their status. Dr.Jatinder Singh Sidhu while addressing the students and staff congratulated them for organizing the N.S.S camp. He further added that mother tongue is the most effective medium to express one’s thoughts and feelings. He also added that values are deteriorating from the society and we all are responsible for this. He also said that the young generation has to be mentally strong to face the adversities of life and such camps prepare the youth to face such challenges.
The day was also marked by a cultural programme in the form of group shabad, song, group dance, kavishri, speech and poetic recitation. In the afternoon an extension lecture for improving Communication Skills was organized. This talk was delivered by Pardeep Sethi (Director Study ‘n’ Success). The other dignitaries who graced this occasion with their presence included Jaspal Singh Kalyan( Chairman Zila Parishad), Balwinder Singh Barsat (Additional Secretary, College) and Harbans Singh Gill (Member, L.M.C). In the end Dr. Gurwinder Kaur (N.S.S, Programme Officer) of Mata Sahib Kaur Khalsa Girls College of Education thanked the guests for sparing their valuable time.
