NTAS dedicate play to Raksha Bandhan Celebrations
Patiala -The second phase of “Nasha-Mukt-Punjab Tiranga Awareness Theatre Campaign”. launched by National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS) Patiala duo Pran Sabharwal-Sunita Sabharwal on Independence Day, commenced with the staging of two de-addiction powerful Punjabi plays at SDKS Shakuntla Sen. Sec. School to mark Raksha Bandhan celebrations, here.
The main attraction of the festival, Ajmer Aulakh’s “Avaisle Yuddhan Di Naika” played by versatile actors Sweety Rajput (Satti, the Naika), who kills the villain, Dhanwant Singh (Jagdish Kumar), who is responsible for making Satti’s husband Yodha (Rajat Chouhan), a staunch addict.
Other actors Pran Sabharwal, Rajshri, Jagriti Khurana and Inderpreet stole the show with their participation in the above play and the other play “Sanian Kite – Vadhian Kite aka Patang Baaz”.
The presidium including state’s prominent personalities socialites SDKS Chairman Parvesh Mangla, K.K. Juneja, Dr. Vishal Gaur, School Principal Neelam Sarwal and NTAS’ children wing Convener Sunita Sabharwal inaugurated the festival by paying tributes to lord Shiva during chanting of Sanskrit Shalokas.
NTAS’ Chief Patron International Philanthropist Dr. S.P. Singh Oberoi (Dubai) and Balkrishan Singla, President Punjab’s hundred year old leading Sanatan Dharam Kumar Sabha, in their goodwill messages, read out on the occasion lauded NTAS President G.S. Kakkar, director duo Pran Sabharwal-Sunita Sabharwal and members for their six decade continuous services towards the development of socio-theatre activities and expressed gratitude to CM Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh and D.C. Patiala Kumar Amit IAS for their keenly watching NTAS’ activities, inspiring and guiding theatre movement in Patiala and the state.
NTAS director Pran Sabharwal expressed gratitude to all associates and informed that next de-addiction theatre fest would be organised at Arya Kanya Sen Sec School on 29th August morning.
