NTAS felicitates Mohindra,launches Anti-Drug Theatre Campaign
Patiala –At the instance of Capt. Amrinder Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab, a great connoisseur of literature, arts, Indian History and heritage, NTAS has launched Patiala district Anti Drug Nukkad Natak Theatre Campaign in association with director North Zone Culture Centre Subhagaya Vardhan, an artist-administrator to cover thickly populated venues in the district.
NTAS director Pran Sabharwal, fellow Theatre Television department Punjabi University, members and artists felicitated Health Minister Punjab Brahm Mohindra with award of honour, shawl, bouquets and got Mohindra’s blessings for the success of the venture.
NTAS President G.S. Kakkar said that honour was bestowed on Mahendera in recognition of his outstanding contribution towards Punjab people, especially for the promotion of Panjabiat and strenuous efforts for improving medical services and people’s, health.
Mahindra said that he was proud of his long association with Pran Sabharwal and family. He added that he had been closely watching socio-theatre activities of NTAS for the last above 40 years and rich contribution of octogenarian couple Pran Sabharwal-Sunita Sabharwal.
Expressing gratitude to Brahm Mohindra, Sabharwal disclosed that the inaugural performance of the campaign was being given at Village Sher Majra which will be repeated at other villages like Lang, Nandpur Kesho and Kalyan in the first phase of the campaign.
