Number 13 looks promising for Punjabi University; 13th VC met CM for first time on 13th

13th Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University Patiala Prof. Arvind met Chief Minister, Punjab Capt. Amarinder Singh on May 13th  to apprise him of the various matters regarding the University. It was his first formal meeting with Capt. Amarinder Singh.

In this meeting Capt. Amarinder Singh assured the Vice Chancellor that his government would extend all kinds of help to the University. He asked Prof. Arvind to work in the direction to make this University a World class University by working together with the faculty, employees and students. In this meeting,  Prof. Arvind briefed him about the difficulties being faced by the University as well as his future administrative and academic plans to help the University to scale new heights.

Prof. Arvind also told him that a new team of Deans had been deputed for various administrative and academic jobs and similarly the work had been underway to start interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary courses from the session 2021-22. The various plans for joint partnership with various institutions of  national and international repute, have also been started, he told. He further told him that very shortly the process of data science will also be started for the development of Punjabi language on the modern lines so that Punjabi University keeps marching ahead to fulfill its main objectives of imparting education in punjabi language for various academic streams.

Number 13 looks promising for Punjabi University; 13th VC met CM for first time on 13th .Besides, every effort will be made to strengthen the modern languages on the technological front so that our students are able to work in institutions of international repute, he asserted. The Chief Minister, Capt. Amarinder Singh especially noted that Punjabi University is more a kind of a heritage university of Punjab which has raised the standards of education in Punjab, especially in the Malwa region.
