One-member commission formed to probe Lakhimpur incident by UP Governor

The Uttar Pradesh Governor has formed a one man commission for an enquiry into the Lakhimpur case, in which farmers were killed.
Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava, a retired judge of the Allahabad High Court, will inquire into the incident that resulted in the death of eight people including farmers. The one-member commission will submit its report in two months. The commission will have its headquarter at the incident site-Lakhimpur Kheri,
Earlier, on Wednesday, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was released from the house arrest . She along with and Rahul Gandhi, Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Chattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel met the families of farmers who lost their lives in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.
AAP leaders lead by Raghav Chadha, leader of opposition of Punjab vidhan Sabha Harpal Cheema along with other AAP leaders also met the families of farmers who lost their lives in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.
The leaders demanded Ajay Mishra Teni resigns as Minister of State Home and arrest of Ashish Mishra, the son of the Union Minister.
