Online coding and gaming competition held in department of CSE, Punjabi University

Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Punjabi University Patiala under the student chapter of IEI society has organized “Coding and Gaming Vibes” two days competition based on computer programming languages C, C++, Java and Pythonto improve the coding skills of the students.

The competition will be conducted using the APP “Coding and Gaming Vibes” which isdeveloped byB.Tech. CSE 3rd year students (Rubbal, Muskan, Trushant Garg, Tarun Sharma and Sejal Arora)  and was registered onGoogle Play Store.The honorable Vice chancellor, Dr. B. S. Ghuman has inaugurated the programme and motivated the department to arrange such types of important courses on regular basis.The Dean Academic affairs, Dr. Amritpal Kaur said that this competition will help the studentsin their carrier opportunity in coming days.

Online coding and gaming competition held in department of CSE, Punjabi UniversityThe convener of the course and Head of Department Dr. Raman Maini shared his views about the importance of Coding and Gaming Vibes” competition. He mentioned to participants that the aim of these competitions is to improve the technical skills of the students and to find out gray areas in coding so that students can improve on those areas. The Placement companies also conduct technical rounds on the basis of these programming languages. So these competitions will help students to prepare well for placements also.The programme Coordinator Dr. Nirvair Neeru, Co-coordinators Er. Amrit Kaur. Er. Lal Chand and Dr. Navdeep Singh play a special role in making this event successful. Er.  Lal Chand president of technical club thanked the students for their hard work in making this competition a huge success.Cash prize has been awarded to first four winners of each event and e-certificates will be provided to all the participants.

Head of the Department There will also be a Gaming Competition along with coding to improve the cognitive function and logical reasoning of the students.
