Only 29439, out of total over 26 lakh applications pending in Sewa Kendras-Vini Mahajan

Showing marked improvement in providing citizen services through sewa kendras across, the Governance Reforms Department has registered drastic reduction in the pendency of citizen services applications from 26,00795 to merely 29439 as on December 16 with just 1.13 percent pendency rate.

Giving details in this regard, Additional Chief Secretary Governance Reforms Vini Mahajan said that constant monitoring coupled with the concerted efforts have led to substantial decrease in the pending applications related to various citizen services. The data revealed that Mansa had the least pendency of 42 applications from 82033 followed by 47 in Sangrur from 1,54,537 and 49 in Roopnagar from 70,735.

Similarly, the districts with highest pendency included Ludhiana (288265), Amritsar (239925),  Hoshiarpur  (211014), Jalandhar (199391), Patiala (178291), Gurdaspur (151476) and Bathinda (127190) has now come down to 5684, 5611, 2167,  2655, 1607, 1172 and 998  respectively. Likewise in Tarn Taran the number of pending application was now 1661 against pendency total pendency of 100027, SAS Nagar Mohali 667 against 92399, Sri Muktsar Sahib 1248 against 65762, Moga 1422 against 85554, Ferozepur 1111 against 83839, Fazilka 778 against 78671, Fatehgarh Sahib 546 against 63572, Kapurthala 626 against 79776, SBS Nagar 569 against 74563, Barnala 321 against 51250, Faridkot 333 against 56083 and Pathankot 125 against 66442.

The ACS further revealed that the department had efficaciously disposed of 4944 grievances against the total 8669 thereby registering disposal rate of 57.03. Giving details the remaining cases related to citizen services grievances would be processed expeditiously.

Divulging the details of department wise pending grievances as on December 17, 2019, the ACS said that out of total 127561 applications as many as 94637 have been sorted out with current pendency of 32924 with pending percentage of 25.81 %.
