Over 500 attend Brain Waves fest at Rayat Bahra

PATIALA: `Brain Waves 2018’ a Management Fest organized at the Rayat-Bahra, Patiala Campus here today turned out to be a big hit with the students as it saw massive participation from institutions of different cities.

Comprising various activities like Business Ideas, Ad Mad Show, Best out of Waste, Quiz, Scholarship Test, Debate, Extempore, Declamation, Poem Recitation, LAN Gaming, Painting, Poster Making, Collage Making and Rangoli Competitions the festival kept the participants engaged.

More than 500 students from different colleges of Patiala, Rajpura, Nabha, Malerkotla, Bhawanigarh, Sangrur, Samana, Patran, took part and exhibited their talent and skills in different events.

The idea behind organizing the event was to make the students explore their extraordinary capabilities.   In the event of Business Ideas, students improvise and come up with a product for which they are required to launch the product in the market. Furthermore to instill out of the box thinking the students are given a task to sell a non salable product in the event like Ad Mad Show and hence hone their marketing skills.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions (RBGI), emphasized the importance of Management Fests and how these events helped improve the skills of students.

Dr Sandeep Kaura, Joint Managing Director of the Rayat Bahra Group, was also present. He advised the students on how they could excel in life by sincerely putting efforts in whatever they aim to achieve. Dr Piush Verma, Campus Director, said that such events provide a platform to the students to compete with each other and polish their skills.
