Paediatrics department of Govt Medical College organized conference on ‘Rhuematology UPDATE’

Today on March 8,2026 an Annual Conference of Deptt of Paediatrics “Rhuematology UPDATE” was organised under which talks about rheumatological diseases enhanced & updated knowledge of more than hundred delegates across Punjab in medical field from various Medical Colleges, District Hospitals & CHC,s. attended the conference.
CME was well begun by Dr Baljinder Kaur Professor Head Govt Medical College, Patiala & organising Chair person about talk on neonatal lupus rare but can cause heart blocks .
Other Prominent faculties who delivered talks on various aspects of of rheumatological diseases in children were Director Principal Dr RPS Sibia, Dr Munish Arora & Dr Anju Gupta from PGI Chandigarh.
Skin , psychiatric issues & orthopaedic issues were Taken up by Dr Dimple Chopra, Dr Rajnish & Dr Harjit Chawla.
Poster presentations by MD& DNB students were adjudged by Dr Anju Gupta from PGI . Dr Akshay Dr Jasleen, Dr Gurleen bagged 1st & 2nd prizes .
Conference was awarded 4 PMC hours by Punjab Medical council & was observed by PMC member. Representatives of Indian academy of Paediatrics under the direction of national body participated in conference .
This conference CME has been successful in raising awareness in surrounding areas regarding rheumatological diseases in children & how they can seek help at Deptt of Paediatrics Government Medical college Patiala & so that long term debility can be prevented & helped
