Parray joins as Patiala’s 52nd DC

On Tuesday, 2013 batch IAS officer Showkat Ahmed Parray, joins as 52nd deputy commissioner of royal city Patiala. He replaces Sakshi Sawhney, a 2014 batch IAS officer, who has been transferred as Ludhiana DC.
Parray, who was posted as Bathinda DC, has been transferred to Patiala by Punjab govt. Parray has also served as ADC development, additional excise and taxation commissioner in Patiala during the previous regime.
He said “the top priority would be accorded in effective implementation of the government’s schemes and policies besides ensuring a clean, transparent and responsive administration to the people” . Parray after joining office added “We will make sure that all projects are completed on time and the people face minimum inconvenience.”
Earlier on her arrival here, he was also given Guard of Honor at district administrative complex by a contingent of Punjab Police.
Prominent amongst those present on the occasion SP City Sarfraz Aalam, ADC Navreet Kaur Sekhon, SDM Ismat Vijay Singh, Jasleen Kaur, tarsem Chand, RTA Naman Markan, MC Joint Commisioner babandeep Singh Walia, AETC Kanu Garg and others.
