Patiala Covid 19 update; no brake in new positive cases reporting; increasing sharply

As per civil surgeon Patiala, today, 88 new cases were reported in Patiala district. Yesterday 89 cases were reported in Patiala district. Today 46 cured patients were discharged from covid care centres, hospitals in Patiala district and now total cured patients touched 1151 mark. Positive cases in Patiala go up to 1916 with todays new cases and active cases goes to 733.

Out of these 88 cases, 33 reported from Patiala, 14 from Rajpura, 14 from nabha , 8 from Samana, and rest from 19 different villages of the district. In Patiala district maximum cases were detected in 35 contact tracing. They include five policemen, two health workers and two pregnant women.
Three each from Guru Nanak Nagar and DLF Colony, Patiala, Arora Street, Karah Wala Chowk, Two each from Century Enclave, one each case is reported from Model Town, Hira Bagh, Rose Avenue, Gurbakhsh Colony, New Lal Bagh, Chinar Bagh. , Jodiyan Bhattiyan, Officer Colony, Mohalla Jattan Wala, Tripuri, Ekta Nagar, Police Line, Khalsa Mohalla, Janata Colony, Azad Nagar, Majithia Enclave, Deep Nagar, Malwa Colony, Karah Wala Chowk, Anand Nagar B, Grid Colony, Nirbhay Colony.
Four from Pacharanga Chowk of Rajpura, Dalima Vihar, Ganesh Nagar, Jagdish Colony, Near Singla Coal Dip, Jattan Wala Mohalla, Rajpura, Guru Gobind Singh Nagar, Dashmesh Colony, One from Gobind Colony. Four from Basant Pura Mohalla of Nabha, Three from Ripudaman Pura Mohalla, One from Rohit Basta Road, Mahesh, 9-Bir Niwas, Modi Mill, Mahis Gate, New Patel Nagar, Bathinda Mohalla. Five positive cases have been reported from Agarsain Colony of Samana, two from Tej Colony and one from Tehsil Road and 19 positive cases have been reported from different villages including four from Thuhi and Dharonki and 11 from different villages.
Dr. Malhotra said that 3 covid positive cases deaths have been reported in the district. A 55-year-old resident of Rajpura and a 53-year-old Covid-positive resident of village Dhakansu, Tehsil Rajpura, who were admitted to Rajindra Hospital due to hypertension and other ailments, died at the hospital.
Similarly, an 80-year-old woman from village Hariau Khurd, Tehsil Patran, who was admitted to Rajindra Hospital due to diabetes, hypertension and other heart ailments and was Covid positive, died today while undergoing treatment at Rajindra Hospital. Thus the death toll of Covid positive persons in the district has risen to 32.
