Patiala DC demanded application for issuance of temporary license

Patiala district administration has demanded an application for the issuance of temporary license for sale of crackers. Administration spokesperson said that anybody can apply for the a firecracker stall license by 4:00 pm till November 2.
Shops will be allotted thru a draw system. The draw will be held at 5:30 pm on November 2, at room number 109 at deputy Commissioner office complex, Mini Sectt., Patiala. He further added that anybody who is interested in putting up a temporary stall can apply for the license at room number 128, Deputy commissioner office, A block, Mini Secctt. Patiala, by 4:00 pm till November 2.
Earlier, district administration was adamant on its stand of not issuing temporary licenses for sale of firecrackers in the district. After this the traders moved Punjab and Haryana High court seeking approval for distribution of firecrackers as they fear heavy losses.
Traders alleged that due to district administration ban, the lives of cracker sellers will effect tremendously, as they fear heavy losses as no temporary license was issued by the authorities for the sale of firecrackers.
