As per the directions of Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar and under the guidance of Rajinder Aggarwal, ld. District and Sessions Judge cum Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, a video conferencing on Zoom App was held by Babita Verma, Panel Lawyer, District legal Services Authority, Patiala, with Principal and students of Government Senior Secondary School, village Tohra.
During this session, they were made aware about Child Marriage Act, 2006, Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act, 2012, Child helpline number 1098, Toll free no. 1968 and Nalsa (Child Friendly Legal Services to Children and their Protection) Scheme, 2015. They were sensitized about the protective measures against corona virus and necessary guidelines about Covid-19 issued by the State Government and Central Government.
Patiala district legal service authorities hold an online awareness class.They were advised to wash their hands with soap at regular intervals for at least 20 seconds and wear masks.
