Patiala divisional commissioner started unique initiative on this diwali

Chander Gaind, Divisional Commissioner, Patiala, on the occasion of Diwali, took a unique initiative and pasted a notice, ‘No Gifts, Please, “Your Good Wishes & Blessings Are All That I Need”, at the entry gate of his residence here. Mr. Chander Gaind said that he needs the best wishes and blessings of his well wishers and their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes are more valuable to him than the gifts.
Wishing the people on Diwali, Bandi Chhod Diwas and Vishwakarma Day, Divisional Commissioner Chander Gaind said that these holy festivals are an integral part of our lives, our rich heritage and our culture, for which these festivals should be celebrated by congratulating each other.

Gaind added that the recent trend of presenting gifts violates the sanctity and originality of these festivals, for which we should all refrain from giving or receiving gifts rather wishing them all the best with mutual love and brotherhood.
