Patiala gives another president to Congress-Vinod Bhatnagar

Mohit Mohindra, son of former minister and senior congress leader Brahm Mohindra has been officially appointed as the new president of the Punjab Youth Congress, replacing Barinder Dhillon, ahead of the crucial 2024 parliamentary elections.
Mohit had unsuccessfully contested 2022 assembly election from the Patiala (Rural) Assembly segment.
Mohit, who is a former cricketer, Vice-President – Fencing Association of India and an advocate has the major task to carry his father’s five decades old political legacy.
President,Congress Sewa Dal Patiala parliamentary , Vinod Bhatnagar said” earlier, Vijay Inder Singla ,a former MP, MLA and minister from Patiala represented Punjab youth congress in the Indian Youth Congress as its president from 2006 to 2008 and was assigned the task of conducting the first Youth Congress elections in Punjab as a pilot project which was thereafter replicated throughout India. He was made Member of Indian Youth Congress Election Commission (2010-2012) which was responsible for conducting Youth Congress elections in India to identify fresh grassroot talent, known to be a close confidant of Rahul Gandhi brigade.”
Besides this Patiala has given many presidents to Pradesh Congress, Indian Youth Congress including Capt Amarinder Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Vijay Inder Singla, acting presidents Lal Singh etc.
