Patiala Heritage Festival- Jashan Singh Pop singer, Ud Zakir Hussain to perform

District administration Patiala has finalized the artists for the Patiala Heritage Festival to be held from 23rd February 2020.

As per the programme, on the inauguration day of Crafts Mela on 22nd Feb 2020, craftspersons from various parts of India will participate in the craft mela.

Subha Mudgal , an Indian singer of Hindustani classical music,will perform in the classical concert on the 23rd February. She has received several awards and accolades for her artistic accomplishments, including the Padma Shri, awarded in 2000 will be coming this year to perform on the opening day.

Raja Radha Reddy ,is a Kuchipudi dancing couple, is also invited to perform in this year Patiala Heritage Festival. For their services to the field of arts, the Government of India has conferred on them the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards.

Shovana Narayan a famous and recognized Indian Kathak dancer and is an officer with Indian Audit and Accounts Service. She has been awarded the Padma Shri, will be an attraction to the royal city residents.

Ud Shahid Parvez, is an Indian classical sitar player from the Imdadkhani gharana. Ud Zakir Hussain, is an Indian tabla expert and eldest son of legendary tabla player Ustad Allah Rakha, Sabir Khan, is an Indian Sarangi player and son of Legendary Sarangi player and vocalist Padma Bhushan Ustad Sultan Khan, belongs to Sikar gharana (school) of music and  Ibrahim Sekh will also perform during this year Heritage Festival.

The administration has rope in Harmeet Bajaj and Mahesh team for a fashion show.

Jashan Singh , Ranjit Bawa Pop singer will perform in the Pop night during this year Patiala Heritage Festival.

Patiala Postal Division will also hold an exhibition of Numismatic  and Philatelic heritage of Phulkian States
