Patiala Locomotive Works launches “Swachhata Pakhwada”

“Swachhata Pakhwada” is being observed in Patiala locomotive Works from 16th to 2nd October, 2022 in accordance with Prime Minister’s clarion call of “Swachh Bharat Mission’’. In continuation to this nationwide decision, Patiala Locomotive Works, Patiala launched various cleanliness activities at its premises as per the instructions of Ashesh Agrawal General Manager/RCF/Kapurthala and Principal Chief Administrative Officer/PLW/Patiala . H. R. Soni PCMM, on behalf of Agrawal PCAO inaugurated the fortnight-long campaign by administering the Cleanliness Pledge (Swachchta Shapath) on 17th September, 2022.
Soni said that the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign primarily focuses on the cleanliness of workshop, PLW offices, colonies, and Hospitals ensuring tangible improvement in cleanliness. The Swachchta Pakhwada from 16th September to 2nd October, 2022 is an effort to maintain cleanliness of PLW Workshop, colonies, offices ,schools & Hospitals. The Pakhwada will culminate with Swachhata Shramdaan on 2nd October, 2022, commemorating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji.
Banners & Postersare displayed at all PLW Prominent Premises. Agrawal expressed his happiness towards ongoing cleanliness drives by different departments and asked people to accelerate their efforts to achieve the goal of Swachh Bharat.
