Patiala Police nab criminal escaped from Delhi Police custody with handcuffs

A wanted criminal who escaped from Delhi Police custody with handcuffs, nabbed by Patiala Police at Rajpura. As per Patiala police, Shubham Bansal alias Rahul of Chauke village in Bathinda, escaped with handcuffs after he was caught by Delhi Police from Dwarka metro station on October,11. He had gone to Delhi to purchase heroin. He was also accompanied by a lady Manjeet Kaur for whom he intended to buy the heroin worth Rs 2 Lac from his Nigerian (African country) link. Shubham Bansal was apprehended by Policemen of Delhi Police from where he managed to flee along with the handcuffs.
Rajpura deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Akashdeep Singh Aulakh said Shubham Bansal along with his accomplice Manjit Kaur arrested when they were coming towards Rajpura from Ambala side on a two wheeler and were on their way to Bathinda.
Aulakh further said that “upon noticing the police check post, Manjit kaur, who was driving the two wheeler, turned around. On suspecting something is fishy, police personnel on check post duty chased them and apprehended. The duo were to sell the narcotics to Karamjit Singh, Amandeep Singh and Shinda Singh who were waiting for them at Rajpura. Police also nabbed them.
All the five accused were arrested and presented in the court at Rajpura . The court granted four day police remand, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act, for further detailed questioning and investigation of the matter.
Aulakh also informed that during interrogation it was revealed that Shubam Bansal alias Rahul and Karamjit Kaur have FIR No 342/18 u/s 382, 395, 427, 34 IPC and 25 Arms Act PS City Barnala (they snatched a Sonata at gunpoint) registered against them. It is also found that arrest warrants against Shubham Bansal have also been issued in FIR No 342/18 PS City Barnala.
