BJP Patiala candidate Preneet Kaur today cast her vote along with her son Raninder Singh, Daughter Jai Inder Kaur at around 4: 15 pm. Her husband Capt Amarinder Singh didn’t turn up to cast his vote along with his family.

 

This is the first time that Capt Amarinder Singh didn’t turn up to cast his vote. Earlier, he skips Preneet Kaur’s nomination filling, PM Modi election rally in favour of Preneet’s Kaur and even a routine campaign in favour of his better half.

 

Earlier, Preneet Kaur had paid obeisance at the Burj Ala Singh at Qila Mubarak, Patiala and Kali Devi Temple in the morning itself. But she cast her vote in the evening.

 

“As per available information, Capt Amarinder Singh is not feeling well and that’s why he is not attending any election event of his wife Preneet Kaur” said a local leader.

 

Gurpreet a voter of Patiala parliamentary constituency said “it is very sad that the leader, who is appealing to voters to cast their vote, is himself skips the festival of India. The election commission has given the opportunity to elders, senior citizens, ill persons to opt for a postal ballot paper voting and the commission staff was going to their residence to get his/her vote. If he is not well than why didn’t he opt for the facility and became a proud voter of this country“

After casting her vote, Preneet Kaur said, “The weather has improved, those who are yet to cast their vote, should come out and exercise their democratic right. “

In the last over of Preneet’s D-Day, Capt skips it. Today is the last day of the ongoing lok sabha elections. In the last phase of the election, Punjab is voting to elect its 13 lok sabha member parliaments.

Till 5 pm, 57.07 percents were polled in Patiala lok sabha constituency.
