Patiala range gets DIG after many years

Today, Punjab govt has appointed Harcharan Singh Bhullar as deputy inspector general (DIG) of Patiala Range.
Bhullar 2014 batch IPS, replaces replace Mukhwinder Singh Chinna, ADGP, Patiala Zone who retired after serving the Punjab police on the last day of the calendar year 2023. Bhullar had already served Patiala, Sangrur districts as senior superintendent of police (SSP). He has been promoted as DIG in January 2023.
Patiala range gets a DIG rank officer after many years as it is served by a IG, ADGP level officers from past many yaers. Patiala range comprises Patiala, Sangrur, Malerkotla and Barnala districts. Mukhwinder Singh Chinna was appointed as IG (later promoted as ADGP) Patiala zone on April 30,2022 after the govt transferred than IG Rakesh Kumar Aggarwal.
Before that IG Naunihal Singh, Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Paramjit Singh Gill, Ishwar Chander, Paramjit Singh Grewal had served Patiala zone.
