Punjab institute of Management and Technology is a leading Institute in Management and Technical education of the region. The institute organizes various sports events for the students. Continuing the chain of its sports activities , Punjab institute of management and technology in association with IKG PTU Jalandhar organized a three day inter college basket ball tournament from 8.10.17 to 10.10.17.27 teams (18 Boys teams and 9 girls teams) from various colleges of Punjab are participating in the tournament. Dr Parminder Singh (Director Sports, PU Chandigarh) was the Chief Guest of opening ceremony. Dr S.S. Randhawa (Assistant Director, Sports & Culture IKG PTU, Jalandhar) was also present.
Naresh Aggarwal (Chairman PIMT), Anil Kumar Agrawal ( President GESWT, MGG), Sanjay Bhatia ( Secretary GESWT, MGG) and Nitin Saggar ( Joint Treasurer GESWT, MGG) were also present in the opening ceremony .
Dr Manisha Gupta (director PIMT) said that Physical exercise is good for mind, body and spirit. Furthermore, team sports are good for learning accountability, dedication, and leadership, among many other traits. Putting it all together by playing a sport is a winning combination. Parmod Kumar-Sport I/c, Gulshan Kumar are playing a leading role in the tournament.
