Placement drive at SGGS World University

Continuing its stupendous training and placement season, eight student of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib were selected by multinational electronics and communications giant Sony. The selected students were from the Department of Management, Department of Computer Science and Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Also, in a separate placement drive the students from the Department of Chemistry and Department of Mathematics were selected by innovative education solutions company Acadecraft.

The selected students were rewarded with handsome pay packages.  Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Sukhdarshan Singh Khehra said that he is humbled by the confidence that companies have reposed in us by choosing our students to augment their pool. The Vice Chancellor said keeping in mind the present economic conditions in the global job market, University has been paying special attention to placements for students and workshops. Mock assessment and interviews are regularly conducted by the faculty to help them get acquainted with the recruitment process.

        During a Placement drive at SGGS World University, its Training and Placement Officer (TPO), Tripti Gupta told that a host of companies are expected to visit the campus for recruitment in this session and University placement coordinators hope not only to supersede last year’s highest pay package and the number of students placed but the university is also committed to the cause of supplying industry ready students to the companies.
