Police DAV School celebrated International Women’s Day
8th March is celebrated as International Women’s Day Worldwide. This day was celebrated with great fervour at Police DAV Public School, Patiala. A special assembly was organized where in Suhani of class VI delivered a speech highlighting the importance of the day. Also students of class VI and VII presented a skit based on the role of women in the society and their immense contribution towards the progress of the country. Students of Primary wing were dressed up like famous women personalities like Mrs.Indra Gandhi , Kalpna Chawla , Sunita Williams , Kiran Bedi etc and spoke on their achievements.
On this occasion, the school Principal Meena Thapar applauded the efforts of the students and teachers to make this day worth reminiscing. She greeted the staff and students and motivated the students to look after all female members of their families very well. The assembly concluded by presentation of flowers by the students to their female teachers thanking them for making them useful members of society.
