Police DAV School, Patiala hold Stamp Design Competition

A stamp design competition was held at Police DAV Public School, Patiala by the Department of Posts under the vigilance Awareness week from 30th Oct,2017 till 4th November,2017 observed all over the country. Students of classes II to XII participated in this competition with great enthusiasm.

Students drew the drafts of the stamp designs on the topics of Good Government Practices, corruption free India and Honesty and Integrity for National Progress. The budding artists used their skill and talent to compete for the best stamp design prize.

Police DAV Public School was nominated by the Department of Posts for this competition. The stamp designs were drawn on A4 sized paper and the best one will be released on November 14,2017 by the department.

A team from the Department of Posts visited the school to supervise the competition led by Paramjeet Kaur ( Assistant Post Master) , Harsimrat Sidhu ( Marketing Officer)and Puneet Kumar ( Office Assistant). They provided information regarding the importance of postal department in connecting people. Information regarding different life insurance policies was given to the staff members for a secure future.

In the end the prize winners were declared. The first position was bagged by Meena from class VII and second spot was bagged by Liza of class XII. Trophies and certificates will be awarded to the winners.

On this occasion , the school Principal Meena Thapar thanked the team officials for their kind consideration and nominating the school out of all schools in the district for such activity. She further added that by these competitions enable to create awareness among the people as well as students regarding the on going practices in the country and enable them to explore their talents and creative skills. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the Postal Department for their efforts and encouraged the students to participate more and more in such events.
